Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Remote location. Tasks: Examine plans, drawings and site layouts. Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public. Inspect construction of building and engineering construction. Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate safety programs. Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes. Ensure electrical and plumbing installations meet government regulation. Enforce steel and concrete installation codes. Inspect construction of sewer systems and pipelines. Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Inspect existing buildings for structural defects and fire hazards. Specialization or experience: Green economy sector. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Sound discrimination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Large workload. Physically demanding.
