Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments. Read blueprints, written specifications and production drawings. Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery. Arrange for maintenance and repair work. Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries. Compile worksheets and specifications of orders. Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner. Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production, construction and other projects. Prepare and maintain progress and other reports. Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems. Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders. Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations. Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices. Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment. Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment. Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization. Personal suitability: Client focus.
