Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Assist during assessment of patients and carry out treatment programs and develop materials for use with patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Supervise technical and support staff. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Assist chiropractor with patient health education. Plan physiotherapy programs. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Maintain supplies. Assist chiropractor with physical examinations. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
