Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Organize and direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Tender and administer contracts. Establish work schedules and procedures. Write specifications. Survey and assess designated sites. Prepare proposals. Prepare conceptual designs. Prepare contracts and tenders. Manage landscaping projects. Estimate costs. Build models. Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions. Direct crews who maintain the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes. Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes. Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures. Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. Assess the health of lawns. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.- LocationFort McMurray, AB
