Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Instruct students in lip-reading, finger spelling and sign language. Instruct students in formation and development of sound for speech using hearing aids and other devices. Assist students to develop life skills. Assess individuals in areas such as physical limitations, orientation and mobility skills, and cognitive, social and emotional barriers to establish client rehabilitation or adaptation goals. Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs. Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on special needs of client to facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives. Target audience: Children.
