Job Duties and Responsibilities: consult with school-based staff, families and district personnel to provide a continuum of occupational therapy goals to students from Pre-K grade 12<p> conduct screenings, assessments and documentation to support the unique learning needs of children using formal and informal measures<p> communicate and interpret results to team members<p> provide recommendations for universal, targeted and specialized services based on data gathered<p> prepare written assessment reports when required<p> support teachers and parents to implement strategies effectively<p> collaborate to provide school and system level professional development to build system capacity around supporting children and students OT and sensory needs<p> provide teachers with classroom-based supports based on individual and group needs<p> supervise Occupational Therapy assistants<p> work closely with school-based therapy assistants to ensure ongoing treatment for students requiring targeted and specialized services<p> collaborate with district support services team to provide effective ongoing supports to schools<p> work collaboratively with therapists from multiple service providersIdeal candidate skills & abilities: Strong understanding and appreciation of Grasslands Public Schools mission and values.<p> Strong ability to uphold an environment that supports diversity and inclusion.<p> Respect and value all individuals with sensitivity to diversity.<p> Personal integrity and trustworthiness.<p> Understanding of how this position impacts our community.
