Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Outdoors. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Automated systems experience: Bulk grain or feed handling - automated. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Standing for extended periods.
