*Key Responsibilities*
* Takes pride in maintaining all production areas to the highest hygiene and food safety standards.
* Responsible for the safe handling and processing of raw materials, following recipes and standard operating procedures.
* Proficient in the safe and efficient operation of all brewing, processing and batching equipment, and understands the key process levers to in brewing, processing and batching - including fermentation, maturation, CIP's, and yeast handling.
* Performs CIP, housekeeping, and other cleaning tasks and basic maintenance.
* Teamwork with Brewing & Processing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Packaging team members for seamless product flow to ensure on-time and in-spec production as per packaging schedules. Addresses or escalates issues that may affect production as they arise, guarding product quality, yield, and timeliness processes.
* Works diligently to avoid waste or adverse environmental impacts.
* Collects samples and performs quality checks in accordance with our quality control program
* Works in accordance with company health and safety, and food safety policies always
* Performs neat, accurate, and timely data entry and record keeping
* Meets established production plans and timelines as per brewing schedule
* Engages in team building and continuous improvement opportunities
* Contributes to product and process development projects where required, suggesting changes where necessary to improve product quality and optimize yield and efficiency of production.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
* Curiosity and passion for the brewing and beverage industry, passion to win, passion to grow
* A minimum of 2 years of related experience in brewing. Prior experience in a similar role in a comparable environment considered an asset.
* Completed a Brewing degree or diploma. Brewmaster certification or higher considered an asset.
* Understand the importance of hygiene, housekeeping, and sanitation, and is excited to play an important role in supporting a clean and safe production environment
* HACCP certifications and/or experience in Lean Six Sigma projects also considered assets.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekend, and holiday hours
* Great time management and organizational skills - demonstrates rigorous and efficient planning with the ability to multi-task.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attention to detail, and an ability to work well both independently and as part a team
* Affinity to a diverse team that enjoys their work environment and celebrates success
* Appetite to cross train and evolve through opportunities across the supply chain
* Ability to lift up to 25kg on a regular basis, standing, climbing, bending, and walking
