Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Work setting: Various locations. Commercial. Institutional. Residential. Construction site. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors. Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Schedule personnel, tools and equipment. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Work under pressure. Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Team player.
