Carlton Heights Compounding Pharmacy has an opening for a full time Pharmacy Assistant. Candidate must be a flexible, reliable team player and self starter. Must be committed to providing excellent, fast, friendly customer care. Previous experience with Kroll software an asset. Previous pharmacy experience preferred. Be a team player www.sunshinedrugs.com Duties: - Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing patient care - Prepare and package medications for distribution - Maintain inventory of medications and supplies - Enter patient information and prescriptions into the computer system - Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries - Perform administrative tasks such as filing and organizing paperwork - Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or technician preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment - Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy software systems Skills: - Medication administration: Assist with dispensing medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dosage instructions. - Patient care: Provide support to patients by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on medication usage. - Pharmacy Assistant: Assist pharmacists with various tasks, including medication preparation, inventory management, and prescription processing. - Medical terminology: Understanding of medical terms and abbreviations commonly used in pharmacy settings.``` Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $16.55-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 37 per week Benefits: * On-site parking * Store discount * Wellness program Flexible Language Requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * St. Catharines, ON L2M 4Y1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * pharmacy: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationSt. Catharines, ON
