Elementary Summer Learning Day Camp <p>Educational Assistants <p>Qualified EA $24.11/hour <p>Unqualified $21.24/hour <p>July 8 August 16, 2024 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (possibility of extension) <p>Applications are invited in anticipation of Summer Learning Programs in the following communities: Kenora<p> DrydenSummer Learning Day Camp <p> Summer Learning day camps provide opportunities for students to participate in a variety of camps throughout the summer. Day camps will provide a learning-based opportunity for students in areas of math, science, literacy, arts and physical education. <p>Responsibilities <p>Education Assistants will collaborate with team members to plan, prepare and provide positive learning opportunities for all students that are inclusive, diverse and equitable.<p>Student Learning Assistants will need to be prepared to participate in virtual or in-person training and learning sessions around evidence-based Literacy practice and programs.<p>Education Assistant priorities include: collaborating with team to plan, design and implement the program<p> providing and promoting culturally relevant materials and resources <p> supporting engaging, hands on, experiential learning opportunities <p> supporting learning opportunities that are inclusive and equitable for all students <p> supporting learning opportunities with awareness of Indigenous perspectives<p> working one-on-one or in small groups, with students<p> supporting student behaviour with a BMS and self-regulation approach<p> collecting evidence of student learning growth <p> delivery of evidence-based Literacy and numeracy programs<p> planning and providing literacy and numeracy learning activities throughout the day<p> communicating with Summer Learning Administrator Lead and team members <p> other duties as required to meet the needs of the students and the programPreferred Qualifications: additional knowledge and/or qualifications in Behaviour Management Systems (BMS)<p> additional knowledge and/or qualifications in student self-regulation<p> additional knowledge and/or qualifications in the Zones of Regulation<p> additional knowledge of School Mental Health Ontario practices and Restorative PracticeThis position will be posted until Friday, April 26 , 2024 at 4:00pm.
