GCA has a head of school, two principals and a staff of over 100 serving approximately 1000 students. <p>GCA has an<p>opportunity for a 1.0 FTE Kindergarten to Grade 3 Physical Education and Grades 4 to 5 Art Teacher . Under the direction and mentorship of the Elementary Principal, this individual will teach K to Grade 3 Phys Ed and Grades 4 and 5 Art. This position is a term contract from August 26, 2024, to June 27, 2025. Characteristics <p>Successful applicants will possess the following characteristics: A vibrant Christian faith, demonstrating the leadership of Jesus Christ<p> The ability to make Biblical values an integral part of school life<p> Clearly defined and well thought out assessment beliefs<p> An understanding of brain learning strategies is considered an asset<p> Prepared to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff as a member of a professional learning community<p> Have strong, positive interpersonal skills<p> Be willing to contribute to the schools extracurricular program<p> Efficient, highly organized, and capable of multitasking<p> Ability to make sound judgment and decisions<p>Qualifications Agrees to and adheres to the GCA Statement of Faith without reservation<p> Is able to clearly express his or her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour<p> Bachelor of Education<p> AB Permanent or Interim Certificate<p> AB Letter of Authority <p>Skills Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, digital delivery and field trips<p> Design effective strategies to meet the childrens diverse learning needs<p> Effective communication skills<p> Ability to handle confidential information<p> Fluent in English<p> Excellent English written and oral communication skills<p> Proven attention to detail, organizational and documenting / tracking skills, as well as analytical problem-solving abilitiesAll applicants must apply through the online portal by Friday, May 10, 2024.
