Holy Family Catholic Regional Division Job OpportunitiesFaith and Indigenous Education Coordinator<p>Central Office, HFCRD<p>Peace River, ABHoly Family Catholic Regional Division is recruiting a 1.0 Division Faith and Indigenous Education Coordinator to commence duties for the 2024-25 school year. This position will be located in Peace River, AB central office and some travel may be required. <p>The ideal candidate will be: <p> Committed to leadership in Christ-centered educational values and beliefs in all aspects of the school divisions faith life with a commitment to Catholic parish life and personal witness <p> Committed to excellence, and continuous improvement, have effective communication and technology skills, and be a strong team player as an active part of the central office team serving seven (7) schools <p> Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, ability to be flexible and work as a member of a collaborative team <p> Knowledgeability and/or fluency in Cree or Indigenous Language would be an asset <p> Training and experience as related to First Nation, Metis, and Inuit Education, Knowledge of Truth and Reconciliation <p> Culturally relevant understanding to support student achievement and educational outcomes and curriculum <p> Demonstrated excellence in their teaching practice <p> Demonstrate initiative and a positive attitude<p>Primary duties include: <p> Providing support to all aspects of the Religious Programming, First Nation, Metis, and Indigenous Programs as related to K-12 curriculum <p> Support teachers relevant to Teacher Quality Standards by applying foundational knowledge about First Nations, Metis, and Intuit in teaching and learning <p> Support schools and coordination of initiatives related to the division faith plan and Indigenous education plan <p> Have a strong understanding related to Alberta Education Guiding Documents including Alberta Expression of Reconciliation, United Declaration on the Rights of<p>Indigenous Peoples, and the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Policy Framework <p> Promote faith and indigenous professional development of staff and students. <p> Organize district liturgical and cultural events, and liaise with parishes, dioceses, and First Nation communities <p> Coordinate, plan, and organize professional development, retreats, guest speakers, events, and presentations for staff, students, trustees, and division<p>Qualifications: <p> Bachelor of Education, a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate, and a minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience, background in religious education, First Nation Metis, and Inuit education <p> Masters Degree (or willingness to enroll) <p> Valid drivers license<p>The position will include teacher salary as per the collective agreement and Division Coordinator allowance<p>Closing: May 8th, 2024, or until a suitable candidate is found. <p>Applications can be directed to Superintendent Betty Turpin Betty.Turpin@hfcrd.ab.ca <p> Updated resume. <p> Letter outlining your interest, background, and capacity in the role. <p> Please apply electronically including all relevant documents To apply or for more information on this position please contact:<p>Betty Turpin, Superintendent <p>betty.turpin@hfcrd.ab.ca<p>780-624-3956
