DPCDSB employs approximately 8,000 faculty and staff to deliver and support its Catholic educational mission.<p>M anager, Capital & Facilities Renewal Projects <p>(1 Full Time Position)<p>SALARY Salary $91,795 - $118,693 <p>POSITION SUMMARY <p>Under the direction of the General Manager of Physical Plant Facilities, the Manager of Capital & Facilities Renewal Projects develops, controls, and administers all aspects of design and construction as they relate to the Capital Development Program, to ensure compliance with Board objectives, standards, and timelines. The Manager of Capital & Facilities Renewal Projects collaborates with the project team, consultants, government agencies, local authorities and utilities, developers, contractors, trade organizations, manufacturers, and suppliers to achieve the desired goals. The Manager of Capital & Facilities Renewal Projects, in conjunction with the Boards solicitors, manages all legal issues arising out of contractual and construction activities. As well, the Manager of Capital & Facilities Renewal Projects identifies and pursues technical support, grants, and benefits available from outside agencies. <p>QUALIFICATIONS University degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.<p> Post graduate education/training in Construction Management or Administration.<p> Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Construction Management.<p> 5 Years Supervisory experience.OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.<p> P. Eng (licensed Professional Engineer of Ontario). <p>OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE Extensive working knowledge of relevant legislation.<p> Excellent reading, writing, and oral skills, to interpret and address complex and sensitive information such as contracts, financial information, and legal documents.<p> Proficient in microcomputer use, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite.<p> Excellent strategic planning, issues management, and analytical problem-solving and negotiation skills.<p> Strong policy development and leadership experience.<p> Ability to exercise considerable independent judgment, tact, and sensitivity in dealing with internal and external contacts.<p> Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and successfully complete projects with conflicting deadlines and urgency.<p> Excellent presentation skills.<p> Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.<p> Experience working with a large employer with multiple working conditions and bargaining unit agreements.<p> Experience in education is an asset.<p> A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle. <p>To be considered for this position, please forward your resume and a covering letter by April 30, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. quoting File: Manager, Capital & Facilities Renewal Projects fully detailing your experience.
