Wild Rose School Division requiresA PART TIME ELEMENTARY TEACHER<p>For Evergreen Elementary School in Drayton Valley, AlbertaApplications are invited for a Probationary Part Time Teacher. <p>Evergreen Elementary is seeking a part time (approximately 0.7 FTE) elementary teacher. This is a flexible position supporting students in multi grades (K-4) at various times of the day. Knowledge/Experience with cross-curricular learning, trauma-informed practices, and social emotional learning would be assets.<p>Start date will be August 27, 2024.<p>Evergreen Elementary is a K-4 school located in Drayton Valley, with close proximity to Discovery Park and the bus hub. We have around 200 students, including full day, every day Kindergarten and a full day, Mon/Wed Kindergarten (with alternating Fridays). Our building is designed for opportunities for flexible learning including teacher collaboration, team-teaching and flexible learning spaces. We also have a sensory room/student wellness room and a room for staff wellness. We are striving to be a LEED silver level school, with reduced environmental impacts. Our school focuses on positive behaviors with the PAX program. Students have a daily free breakfast, access to free healthy lunches and a paid hot lunch program is available.<p>A complete package will include cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references and a copy of their Alberta teaching certification in a single Google or pdf document.<p>The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.Posting will remain open until a successful candidate is found but all applications received by 4:00 pm on May 6, 2024 will be guaranteed consideration..
