Conduct research into the synthesis and properties of chemical compounds and the mechanisms of chemical reactions. Develop and conduct programs of analysis to ensure quality control of raw materials, chemical intermediates or final products. Participate in interdisciplinary research and development projects. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Product or manufacturing design: Personal care items. Industrial processes and products experience: Quality assurance and control. Product development. Manufacturing sector experience: Detergents and surfactants. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines.
