<p><b>POSITION: </b><b>ANALYST </b></p><p><b>DEPARTMENT: </b><b>INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY (IT) SERVICES </b></p><p><b>SALARY: </b><b>FROM $48,689 TO $83,462 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p><b>COMPETITION NUMBER: </b><b>160ANALYST2405-01</b></p><p><b>LOCATION: </b><b>MONTREAL</b></p><p><b>STATUS: </b><b>FULL-TIME REGULAR</b></p><p><b>START DATE: </b><b>JUNE 2024</b></p><p><b><i>Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.</i></b></p><p>Reporting to the Cybersecurity Coordinator of IT Services, the IT Analyst will be responsible for managing, designing, and maintaining the organization's security solutions. The IT Analyst will also be expected to work and support the team in place, analyze and align technological needs to meet to the business needs and goals of the school board?s strategic plan, propose infrastructure development or optimization plans and ensure their execution.</p><p><b>FUNCTION & DUTIES:</b></p><ul><li>Actively participate in security deployment projects for all educational facilities in the 14 communities of Nunavik, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) system.</li><li>Actively participate in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to safeguard computer networks and systems against threats and attacks.</li><li>Actively monitor security systems and networks to identify potential security breaches and take corrective action when necessary.</li><li>Actively participate in conducting security audits and compliance assessments to ensure that the organization's security policies and procedures are being followed.</li><li>Participate in evaluating existing IT platforms to determine if they are meeting business needs or if they need to be updated or replaced.</li><li>Respond to security incidents, such as data breaches or cyber-attacks, by investigating the incident, containing the damage, and taking the necessary steps to prevent future incidents.</li><li>Ensure the highest level of support.</li><li>Perform any other job-related duties requested by their superior.</li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><p>Undergraduate degree in computer science or in a field related to the position.<b></b></p><p><i> </i></p><p><i>The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the aforementioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.<b></b></i></p><p> </p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years? experience in a similar position.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Azure, SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, GPO, Office 365, IIS, Microsoft Exchange, and EDR solutions.</li><li>Experience with PowerShell scripting language and automation tools.</li><li>Working knowledge of virtualization technologies.</li><li>Ability to write reports, standards, processes, and procedures.</li><li>Strong technical background in areas, such as network security, operating systems, and cloud security.</li><li>Knowledge of security and technology tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, EDR solutions, and SIEM systems.</li><li>Be able to travel to Nunavik as needed.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.</li><li>Strong communication skills to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and to collaborate effectively with other IT and business teams.</li><li>Be on call outside of normal business hours in case of an emergency</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>ASSETS: </b></p><ul><li>Knowledge or experience with Mac OS, Mozaïk, Watchguard firewall, Aruba equipment, Packetfence, cloud-based technolog
