Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort. Tasks: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers. Power tools. Power lawn mowers. Security system. Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment. Snowblower. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication.
