Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Conduct forest inventory cruises, surveys and field measurement. Display spatial data using Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Monitor the effectiveness of silvicultural practices. Supervise forest inventory cruises, surveys and field measurement. Supervise technical functions in silvicultural operation. Update computerized forest management information system. Use photogrammetric and mapping techniques. Enforce environmental, fire safety and accident prevention regulation. Train or arrange for training. Prepare and submit reports. Oversee safety of operations. Operate all-terrain vehicles (ATV). Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Establish work schedules. Ensure adherence to government regulations. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Pick up passengers and drive them to destinations.
