Are you an experienced Intermediate/Senior Municipal Engineer looking to progress your career? We're looking for an Intermediate or Senior Municipal Engineer to join our growing team. We're large enough to compete head-to-head with publicly traded engineering giants, but still small enough to maintain the culture and flexibility of a close-knit team.Our size and hands-on management style let us move quickly, embrace new opportunities, and empower our people to shape their own careers?without getting lost in corporate bureaucracy.You're an ideal candidate if you have:Currently registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers Geoscientists New Brunswick (APEGNB)Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited universityWell-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for work related travelA typical day on the job might look like:Leading and managing civil engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and within scopemunicipal and transportation infrastructure,commercial and residential subdivision land development,site grading and mass detailed site earthworks for underground servicesPreparation of stamped engineering drawings, quality assurance/control specifications and quantity estimates issued for tender and construction project administration.Storm water modelling and management civil design.Organizing/carrying out construction quantity surveying / field inspections.Developing and maintaining strong client relationshipsPreparing proposals and supporting business development initiativesParticipating in the implementation and adaptation of existing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Guidelines in the execution of all project work.Acting in support of other GEMTEC offices when needed to complete projects.Performing other related duties as required.The good stuff you get:Full-time (37.5 hours per week)Complete health & dental coverage including vision, paramedical services, and TeladocRetirement planning made easier with a 5% employer match on your contributionsPaid time off (vacation and sick days) plus Employee & Family Assistance Program when you need itOffice year-end closure (paid time off between Christmas and the New Year)Your background and what you bring: 5+ years of experience in civil engineering practiceAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent organizational and time management skills with a commitment to quality.Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 (or newer version)Experience with ArchGIS and/or QGIS software platforms would be considered an asset, as would experience with hydraulic modeling software suites.Interested individuals, click here to apply:https://gemtec.bamboohr.com/careers/271Thank you for taking the time to consider GEMTEC.
