*Job Overview* We are seeking a passionate, creative and dynamic Art Instructor with a friendly, outgoing and bubbly personality and a growth mindset to join *The Paint Garden*, a community-focused paint workshop and art events company. If you thrive in dynamic environments and love fostering creativity in others, we want to hear from you! *Key Responsibilities* * Lead in-studio and off-site art events, including guided "paint night" parties for adult groups, corporate events, and workshops. * Facilitate engaging virtual art parties as needed. * Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and patience in teaching settings. * Assist with packaging and assembling art kits for large-scale events. * Embrace a variety of settings, including unique workshops that may include cannabis-friendly sessions (not often). * Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekend evenings and weekend daytime hours (not often). * Maintain a clean and organized studio environment before and after events. *Job Requirements* The _*ideal candidate*_ should have: * Experience teaching art in workshops, classes, or events (Or believe you would be a great teacher). * The ability to multitask * Exceptional interpersonal skills, initiative, and reliability. * Familiarity with, and be comfortable leading groups of all sizes and adapting to diverse audiences. * Willingness to take on event setup, teardown, and occasional physical tasks. * A strong background in one or more of the following mediums:- Acrylic painting and Mixed media * Excellent communication skills and a fast learner * Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm *Bonus Skill:* * Experience in hosting or leading large corporate or social art events (not required, but must be willing to learn). *Additional Information:* * This is a casual, event-based position with a starting rate of $20/hour. * We are open between Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with the occasional Sunday late afternoon, you are not expected to work all of these shifts, just 1 or 2 mostly. * Each shift is usually about 4-5 hours and 4-8 hours on Saturdays. * Current students and emerging artists are encouraged to apply. * Must have a positive demeanor.
