As an Environmental Technician/Technologist, you will work in collaboration with the GTA Environment team. Your main responsibilities will be to co-ordinate and complete assigned activities with respect to the implementation and management of environmental projects including but not limited to: Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety policies and culture. Provide consulting services in conjunction with environmental site assessment and remediation of sites and excess soils management (80% field, 20% office). Main responsibilities will include: supervising drilling and excavation activities, collecting soil, groundwater and air samples, completion of hydrogeological studies including aquifer response tests, mentoring junior staff and preparation of technical report. Work in collaboration with members of the Environment team throughout Ontario. Participate in planning meetings. What makes you unique Minimum of 10 years' experience in leading environmental field College or University Degree in Environmental Science/Geoscience or Engineering. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Good with tools and general repair and maintenance of field equipment. Able to work successfully in both alone worker or team setting. Strong communication skills, written and spoken. Outgoing and a team player. Willingness and ability to travel throughout Ontario. Working knowledge of the record of site condition (RSC) process and Excess Soil process in Ontario. Ability to handle samples up to 25kg of materials regularly. Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety. The salary range for this position is $77,771 to $102,075 CAD base per annum, based on the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and current market benchmarks. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications, their positioning within our internal compensation structure, and relevant geographic cost-of-living considerations, where applicable. This range represents a realistic and good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role. Compensation may also include a comprehensive benefits package, performance incentives, or bonus eligibility depending on role level and business unit.
