Come and find your adventure in the north.Who You AreStrong teamwork skillsAbility to work within a multidisciplinary organization to provide quality patient careMotivated individual open to learning and ensuring the continued development of the service and organizationWhat You?ll DoProvide pre-hospital care in accordance with provincial regulation and organizational policies and proceduresLiaise with primary care providers/allied health providers such as physicians, pharmacists and care coordinatorsProvide patient education, self-management coaching, welfare checks, post exacerbation and hospital discharge follow up support to manage their underlying condition(s)Provide general/appropriate pre hospital emergency medical careDemonstrate understanding of public health/social issues and resources What You BringMeet all requirements for employment under the Ambulance Act of OntarioValid certificate signed by the Base Hospital Physician allowing the Paramedic to perform the following controlled medical act, or be certified within 60 days of hire:o Successful completion of A-EMCAo Diploma in ParamedicineCertified in the use of Semi-Automatic DefibrillationCertified in symptom relief drug administrationAbi- Location Kashechewan, ON
