The City of Delta is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and share in our commitment to lead the way in public service excellence.City of DeltaCultural Services Program Leader - Performing Arts InstructorThe City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and energetic Performing Arts Instructors to teach our recreational performing arts programs for all ages and abilities. The Leader will develop and implement quality, instructional, and engaging classes in acting for stage and screen, writing, singing, and/or musical theatre. Other performing arts will be considered. Programs run on a weekly basis during weekday mornings, weekday after school /evenings and weekends. Week-long camps run Monday - Friday over the summer.Qualifications: Have ongoing personal and/or professional practice in performing arts Music, vocal instruction, and/or dance experience is an asset Flexible, self motivated, and can take initiative with little supervision Responsible and punctual Have strong customer service skills with excellent classroom management and organizational skills Available to work Monday through Friday during the day for July and August Able to create lesson plans for a series of sessional lessons Must be able to pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) checkThe City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $31.00 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits.
