<b>ROLE SUMMARY </b>: <br><span><span><span>In a general way, the professor's teaching load shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes; adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students? request; participation in pedagogical days organized by the College; participation in departmental meetings and required activities. </span></span> </span><br><br><b>DUTIES</b>:<br>The college is seeking to hire a regular part-time professor to teach a course within our Special Education Techniques (SET) program in the Fall 2026 semester.<p><strong>351-A11-HR Role of the Graduates in Special Education Techniques<br></strong><em><span>(2 hours of theory, 2 hours of lab and 4 hours of availability per week)<br></span></em><span>Students will be introduced to the career of the Graduates in Special Education Techniques. The scope of practice of the Graduates in Special Education Techniques will be contextualized within the Quebec educational, health, and social services settings.</span></p><p><strong><span></span></strong><strong><span>Start Date:</span></strong><span> August 17th, 2026</span></p><p><strong><span>End date:</span></strong><span> January 15th, 2027</span></p><br><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED</b>:<ul><li><span><span>Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Special Care Counselling or a related discipline (Social Work, Psychology, etc.).</span></span></li><li><span><span>A minimum of three (3) years of practical and related experience.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience in post-secondary/adult learning would be considered an asset.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Fluency in French and English, both oral and written is required.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Knowledge of Special Care Counselling within Québec Health and Social Services is an asset.</span></span></li></ul><b>ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS</b>:<br><span><span><span><span><strong>Ability to:</strong></span></span></span></span><ul><li><span><span>Create a dynamic, challenging, and motivated learning environments.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Adapt to a variety of student needs and provide appropriate academic and career development support to students.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Employ exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter through practical experiences.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Apply theoretical concepts to current workplace needs and skill requirements.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Must be flexible as required by the department workloads.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Stay abreast of changes and new program requirements through regular professional development activities.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Be willing to work collaboratively within the department team.</span></span></li></ul><b>SALARY RANGE (PER YEAR)</b>: <br><span>57,484.00$ - 110,711.00$</span>- Location Gatineau, QC
