OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE Mariner is seeking a Senior Project / Program Manager to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and provide senior delivery leadership for a key client engagement in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role requires a highly adaptable, consulting-style leader who can operate effectively in ambiguity, build trust quickly, and drive outcomes across both structured initiatives and unstructured operational demands. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE Lead complex, multi-stream initiatives across product, business analysis, QA, development, and vendor teams Provide end-to-end delivery oversight, including planning, execution, risk management, and reporting Bring structure, clarity, and momentum to evolving or loosely defined initiatives Oversee delivery across multiple systems, platforms, and third-party vendors Manage integration dependencies, risks, and timelines across a complex ecosystem Act as a key liaison between internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders Support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational delivery needs Contribute to solutioning, delivery planning, and issue resolution Build strong relationships with client leadership, technical teams, and external partners Communicate effectively at all levels, including executive stakeholders and governance forums Support initiatives related to payments modernization, real-time transaction capabilities, data and integration platforms, and regulatory-driven technology change Help shape delivery approaches to support upcoming fintech and industry mandates WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB 10+ years of project or program management experience in complex, integration-heavy environments Proven experience leading large-scale initiatives ($10M+), involving multiple stakeholders and vendors Experience in consulting or multi-client environments strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing settings Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred Experience with core banking systems, credit unions, payments and payment-related platforms, as well as regulatory or audit environments, would be a strong asset. Familiarity with enterprise platforms, system integrations, and multi-platform environments Exposure to compliance or regulatory-driven initiatives is an asset Strong understanding of the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and hybrid delivery models Experience leading cross-functional teams across product, business analysis, QA, and development Strong vendor management, risk management, and dependency management capabilities Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to influence without authority and lead hands-on when- Location Halifax, NS
