Semple Gooder Roofing Corporation, a large roofing contractor, is hiring small engine mechanic to start immediately. Position Requirements · Strong mechanical skills, dexterity, and attention to detail. · Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting small engines and power equipment (snowblowers, chainsaws, tractors, loaders, etc.). · Ability to use hand tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, compression gauges, ammeters, voltmeters, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment. · Experience completing work orders and providing concise explanations of service and repairs performed. · Comfortable handling powered equipment and lifting 50+ lbs. · Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. · Knowledge of small construction equipment maintenance is an asset. · Valid G driver?s license with reliable transportation. *Responsibilities* · Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with lead mechanic. · Perform routine engine maintenance, including lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs. · Diagnose problems and repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts. · Reassemble and reinstall components and engines after repairs. · Test equipment functionality after repairs and ensure proper operation. · Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used. · Complete all service, repair, and diagnostic paperwork in a timely manner. · Source and order parts as required. · Perform diagnostic maintenance and repairs, including rebuilding and overhauling single and multi-valve hydraulic power systems, two-stroke and four-stroke engines, generators, garden tractors, grass cutting equipment, edgers, snow blowers, chainsaws, chippers, and other small engine equipment. · Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. *Compensation / Hours:* · Hourly Wage: $25.00 ? $30.00 per hour, based on experience. · Minimum of 40 hours per week · Most weeks consist of 44-50 hours · Overtime paid after 44 hours in a work week *How to Apply: * If you meet the above qualifications, please email your resume to the address listed in this posting.
