<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><i><b><strong>Manufacturing Engineer</strong></b></i></p><p>Location: Brampton, ON L6T 5S8, Canada</p><p>Will be needed for an 8-12 month contract assignment at a manufacturing site in Brampton, Ontario.</p><p>The <b><strong>Manufacturing Engineer</strong></b> will be responsible for managing 3-4 smaller <b><strong>automation projects</strong></b> from initial concept through final buy-off. Projects will support <b><strong>injection molding machine unload automation</strong></b> and <b><strong>pack-out automation</strong></b>, including the full project lifecycle from idea development, <b><strong>statement of work (SOW)</strong></b> creation, vendor quote review, award, equipment buy-off, installation, and final acceptance.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead 3-4 smaller <b><strong>automation engineering projects</strong></b> from concept through completion.</li><li>Develop project ideas into clear <b><strong>statements of work (SOWs)</strong></b> for automation suppliers and vendors.</li><li>Support the quote process, including review of vendor proposals, technical details, timelines, and project scope.</li><li>Coordinate project award, purchase activities, equipment build reviews, and supplier communication.</li><li>Participate in automation equipment buy-off, installation, commissioning, and final buy-off.</li><li>Work on projects related to <b><strong>injection molding automation</strong></b>, machine unload systems, and automated pack-out processes.</li><li>Support project execution across key phases including idea, SOW, quote, award, buy-off, installation, and final acceptance.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams, maintenance, production, quality, and external automation vendors to ensure successful implementation.</li><li>Identify process improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, safety, and throughput in a manufacturing environment.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience as a <b><strong>Manufacturing Engineer</strong></b>, <b><strong>Automation Engineer</strong></b>, <b><strong>Project Engineer</strong></b>, or similar engineering role in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Hands-on experience with <b><strong>automation projects</strong></b>, preferably involving <b><strong>injection molding</strong></b>, machine unloading, material handling, robotics, or pack-out systems.</li><li>Ability to manage projects from concept through installation and final acceptance.</li><li>Experience creating or supporting <b><strong>SOW development</strong></b>, vendor quoting, supplier selection, and equipment buy-off.</li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, automation integration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Ability to work cross-functionally with vendors, production teams, maintenance, engineering, and quality.</li><li>Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.</li><li>Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final buy-off in a plant environment.</li><li>Availability for an 8-12 month contract assignment in Brampton, ON L6T 5S8, Canada.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><b><strong>Manufacturing Engineer</strong></b>, <b><strong>Automation Engineer</strong></b>, <b><strong>Project Engineer</strong></b>, <b><strong>automation projects</strong></b>, <b><strong>automation engineering projects</strong></b>, <b><strong>injection molding</strong></b>, <b><strong>injection molding automation</strong></b>, <b><strong>injection molding machine unload automation</strong></b>, <b><strong>pack-out automation</strong></b>, <b><strong>statement of work (SOW)</strong></b>, <b><strong>SOW development</strong></b>, <b><strong>vendor quoting</strong></b>, <b><strong>supplier selection</strong></b>, <b><strong>equipment buy-off</strong></b>, <b><strong>installation</strong></b>, <b><strong>commissioning</strong></b>, <b><strong>final buy-off</- Location Mississauga, ON
