*Position Overview:* The Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks to support landscaping and maintenance projects. This role involves working on residential and commercial sites, with duties including placing and grading topsoil, laying sod, planting, mowing, and site cleanup. The Labourer must demonstrate physical fitness, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. *Key Responsibilities* * Place and rake topsoil to grade, ensuring proper preparation for planting. * Plant sod, shrubs, and trees in accordance with project specifications. * Mow, trim, power rake, and aerate grass to maintain a neat and professional appearance. * Clean up project sites, removing debris and ensuring a safe and tidy environment. * Actively participate in the company's Health & Safety Program. * Adhere to all safety protocols and practices, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members. * Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly. * Perform duties in various environments, including residential and commercial sites. * Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain. * Handle physically demanding tasks, often in a fast-paced environment. *Qualifications* *Skills and Attributes* * *Physical Fitness:* Ability to lift, carry, bend, and kneel, with the capacity to handle heavy loads (50 lbs and up). * *Attention to Detail:* Ensure precision and quality in all tasks. * *Safety Awareness:* Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards and procedures. * *Work Ethic:* Task-oriented with pride in workmanship, reliability, and flexibility. * *Team Collaboration:* Ability to work independently or as part of a team. * *Adaptability:* Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently. * *Client Focus:* Maintain professionalism and a customer-oriented approach in all work.
