This permanent, full-time position is a hands-on role managing the technology that keeps the City running ? servers, storage, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, and a growing cloud and hybrid environment. You'll work closely with a team of engineers and admins to keep systems healthy, tackle projects, and help shape where our infrastructure goes next. This is City of Kamloops Corporate ServicesThe successful candidate must have the following qualifications: Completion of a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree or an equivalent degree OR a combination of a diploma in a Computer Science related field AND Infrastructure or Network Certifications (covering data management and security, cloud computing, networking, and/or Microsoft backend platforms) AND 5 years Tier 3 recent experience in a combination of Infrastructure and Network. Minimum two years previous experience that includes managing VMWare, Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 Administration. For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check.
