Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. At heights. Hot. Outdoors. Work setting: Industrial. Tasks: Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials. Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade. Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement. Operate power vibrators to compact concrete. Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces. Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Utilize hand and power tools. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Perform job-site calculations. Operate forklift. Operate heavy equipment. Fill moulds with concrete. Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments. Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: Tablet computer.
